lyrics
In and out of conscious sleep
lashing at my throat for weeks
18 hours, 14 days
I walk a line with ball and chain (ball and chain)
because we live to serve and slave
for this we fall, for this they prey on you
eat, sleep, repeat. hands are withered to a bloody pulp
light i cannot see, left here to die, tossed in a pit of fire
my flesh is seared, separation from body and soul
tainted soil, planted seed
Arms are shaking, body's weak
slowly feed, i will avenge
the blood of rats will resurrect
i'll catch you sleeping sound and safe in your bed
want you to suffer, want you to beg me
sedation is a fiction, all in your head
want you to feel all lacerations
ill catch you sleeping sound and safe in your bed
want you to suffer, want you to beg me
sedation is a fiction, all in your head
want you to be awake
expose their lies, live the dream
all worn things tear at the seams
I'd rather die unchained, than live a slave
i will infect you like the plague.
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
New York hardcore meets classic thrash metal meets Jane's Addiction-esque alternative on the Brooklyn crushers' sensational debut. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 13, 2023
This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
