lyrics
Distracted by a case of Ebola, or a hike up in price for crude oil
scare tactics keep you blinded to what the keep inside of their cult disguise
poisoned skies, civilians die while we salute a false flag
sacrifice freedom for comfort
green lighting, red zoning, pointing fingers, why can't you see?
it's how the west was won, just can't trust anyone
it makes me sick with every perversion
(lose your faith, use your own mind)
Eternal Nocturnal, a life spent in black
while your mind's under attack
decades with no daylight, nothingness with no end
parasitic world were living in.
(these thoughts are not your own)
these thoughts, they're so unnatural
(these thoughts are not your own)
we're all victims of mind control
votes for election, the illusion of choice
a higher selection, proof that you have no voice
eternal nocturnal, a life spent in black
eternal nocturnal, while your mind's under attack
(eternal nocturnal), they feast while we sleep
(eternal nocturnal), ignorance is suffering
(eternal nocturnal), predators of the night
(eternal nocturnal), only darkness no light

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae

This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
The Minneapolis band add a horn section, a running surrealist allegory about walls, and an occasional nod to the elegiac to their electroshocked post-punk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 4, 2024
